I would be surprised if they were anything other than normal electric trailer brakes...
Electric magnets actuate the shoes.

Orlandi trailers in San Jose (maybe it is Campbell)
They would have access to anything you would need for it Randall! :D

Nope, pretty straight forward once you get the hub off and take a peak.
Just make sure if you wire in new ones you seal the connections against water intrusion.
What makes you think you need new ones?
