New race wheels from JRW

#1 Post by grant » Mon Jul 22, 2019 4:46 pm

Picked up my new forged 19 inch race wheels from Ryan at Jongbloed Racing Wheels. These are gorgeous wheels. Almost hate to use them for race wheels!

Talking very tight but the 19's clear up front and in back. Very similar to what GT3 guys with PCCBs and 19s see. Measured inside widths. front is 19x9.25 and rear is 11.75. So just a little wider than my specs but I like slightly wider wheels as they do fit . Offsets are perfect. My new Tractive coilovers are headed to California via FedEx! Next week all mods start! Operation "make GT3's sweat a little" has begun. :D

Dropped off wheels to have Hoosiers mounted! Will start fitment dance this week. Worse case will professionally roll front fenders. Rear should clear stock fender no problem. Of course will never have enough tire. After im successful with 315/265 setup suspect Ill want 325/285 next. LOL! I really think 265 will fit but some on interweb saying no way. 265 hoosier isn't much wider than my 245 re71 and those hove boatloads of room.

Ughhh fitment issue in rear. ....Go fast delayed again. Well at least I will have coilovers and some AR1s to try but trying to get perfect A7 setup is turning out to be some work! I may just stick with stock widths in 20 inch diameters this year.

Outboard. I can always deal with inboard with spacers. His contractor didn't get rear offset right. Pushed wheel too far out. Im sure if I did a flare on rear it would be fine but I dont want to muck around with flaring. Front is perfect. Hes working with me to fix. Im delayed on coil over install by a week now too. Car is still pretty much stock which is very odd for me.
