Lol! I drive it everyday but many of SC locals in area view it has negative to head over there. I can’t explain it.

I remember when I lived there I felt the same way. I had everything I needed there and it seemed like a chore to head over the hill. Funny thing is, when I moved over here I found myself going back over the hill to SC to hang out with friends and didn't mind one bit.
There is another racecar in my future

The other weird thing is that Monterey Bay used to be sports car club capital with very vibrant local clubs who autocrossed. Monterey Bay PCA, Santa Cruz SCCA, UFO and others all had big AX crowds. I used to go to AX events all over Monterey Bay Area with my dad as a kid in 60s and 70s - parking lots in Santa Cruz , Watsonville fairgrounds, Salinas Airport and more. Now we only have Marina and mostly non local clubs on that site. My dad autocrossed some very fun cars back then with both SCCA and PCA. MGA roadster, Fiat 850 roadster. Fiat 850 sedan, Austin Healy sprite, 356 super 90, 356 SC, and his 914. Some of my fondest memories of him.
