Wheels and tires are here already and all the suspension parts should be here today! Now, a little assembly required :D

Those look like fun cars. Giving up on the 914?

Interesting hadn't seen rules. Its about time they do something like this. Most enthusiast like better than stock supneion but that usually meant kicking a car into SP class or ST class with engine mods and lots of crazy mods not practical for daily driver.

2013-16 Subaru® BRZ® or Scion® FR-S®

Koni® Sport (Yellow) struts/shocks w/ tamper-proof seal
Eibach® PRO-PLUS Performance Handling Package (springs and adjustable anti-roll bars)
SPC Performance® Adjustable Alignment Kit (camber bolts, adjustable lower control arms, and toe arms)
Tires: Falken Azenis RT615K+ (225/45R17).
Wheels: 17"x8", 17 pounds minimum, wheel offset +40 (40ET) or greater.
The Tire Rack® is the SCCA® Coordinating Partner and Preferred Supplier.

The SSC Package, or individual kit components, are available to SCCA® members at discounted price exclusively through the Tire Rack®.
If you're not an SCCA® member, membership information will be provided by the Tire Rack® during the ordering process.
The Solo Spec Coupe (SSC) Rules handout can be found on the Solo Cars and Rules webpage.

I've been getting a little bored with the 914 lately and tired of having to tow it all the time. With so many events being held at Crows Landing and some time soon, Stockton, I decided to find something I could drive over the hill to those locations. Now, that I have this car for SCCA events, it occurred to me that I could make some other mods to the 914 that would not be allowed in SCCA EMod. So the 914 will still be around for LPR events. That's the plan for now.

Other than wings and weight, what can you do to a 914 that isn't allowed in EMod?

Mostly weight. I had the car down to min wt for SCCA and couldn't go any further and actually had to fab a 33 lb. roll bar that I can now remove. Not sure if adding a wing is in the plan for now....mostly weight reduction.

You have to love real engineering. Bill is always ahead of the curve figuring out what will work, then implementing it. Like your new project Bill.

Wow, I missed this. How cool. Can't wait to see it. I have been looking at a different project too, even though I have yet to finish my current 914 project.

What mods are you doing?
