Hey Autocrossers -

7 Runs with over 130 drivers... Great! I'm bummed I could not be there to share in the fun with you all.
Here are the preliminary results.

Glad the sun poked out in PM as I was having a hell of a time getting any heat into my tires in the AM. Got luke warm by my last run in PM and car actually stuck second half of the course. First half for me was awful between cold tires and gravel.. Most of the day was slippy slide fun! Either pushing or tail wagging . Nothing like being in a car that depends on grip to go fast and not having much grip! I have to laugh, my fastest run I accidently left traction control on for start and then pushed button going into first turn . I think Cayman is about where I need it to be dynamically and I think any more weight loss will be of diminishing returns with current tire setup. Cant imagine car under 2000 lbs will be able to heat 335/295 combo I run. Maybe softer Avons would allow me to go a little lighter. Now time to add power over the winter as the stock 3.4 motor while reliable and decent at top end is not up to task when revs go much below 4000 rpm. Still thinking bolt on turbo will be easiest approach to boost much needed mid range power. I may tune it for e85 and run ethanol too. Suspect I can grab 500 hp and some decent mid range torque to help get that tall second gear moving.

I like idea of more power as well as I will put passenger seat back in and share car more . Now its sort of depending on being so light weight to go fast.

Joe! ...repeat after me. "I'm on vacation, I'm on vacation, I'm on vacation".

...but, thanks just the same.

Thanks Joe! Car is getting there for sure, progress has been slow due to so much biz travel this year. I have so many things to do still. It doesn't have brutal thrust and rear grip of Steves car but it's getting quicker in fast slaloms and turns.
