AX'ing 912's is FUN !!

Postby WhuGmiT » Wed Jul 26, 2017 12:49 am

All -

Attached is a picture of the 5, yes that is FIVE, 912's that participated in the Redwood Region autocross last Saturday (22July). That is the most 912's I have seen at an AX event within Zone7 since the 2010 912 Vous event AX.

From left to right:
- KennethK, red 1968 Targa
- My car, grey, 1968
- JamieDR, white 1966
- TristanB, green 1968
- GregZ, grey 1969

Out of 43 drivers, 912's took 3 of the top 6 spots.
Jamie got me by 33msec...... grrrr.... well done Jamie!

That red one surprises me, usually you see the newer cars going long hood, not the older cars going short hood! Cool outlaw with the short hood and big flares.

It is a soft window targa that some douche decided to 'upgrade'. They literally cut off the front and rear end and welded on this stupidity. A soft window targa fetches a nice price these days...too bad.

The 'antiques' took 2nd, 5th and 6th in the top ten out of a field of 43 cars. Not bad for an old car, eh?

Ouch Jamie!
Does that make me a douche for modifying my car too?
Uh... you don't have to answer that! :lol1:

By the way, I won't let you better my time next time out buddy
